Una verdad incómoda , este film ” documental” es realmente interesante. Dirigido por Davis Guggenheim, lo recomiendo.
En este mundo en el cual considero que todos estamos comprometidos, les recomiendo un llamado “a la conciencia“ . Nuestro planeta está sufriendo cambios realmente sorprendentes y especialistas en la materia advierten que estemos atentos los acontecimientos que sucederán a mediano y corto plazo.
En este film, que realmente nos puede llamar la atención sobre una realidad a veces oculta por los grandes países e intereses de pocos, nos alarman y nos lleva a reflexionar . Tomemos conciencia del futuro que nos depara para todos los individuos que transitamos sobre este mundo terrenal.
“Una verdad incómoda” (“An Inconvenient Truth”) es un documental estadounidense conducido por Al Gore, ex vicepresidente de los Estados Unidos durante el mandato de Bill Clinton, sobre los efectos del calentamiento global generado por la actividad humana sobre el planeta Tierra.
El documental fue publicado el 21 de noviembre de 2006 en Estados Unidos.
Por la autoría de este documental Al Gore ha ganado el Premio Nobel de la Paz en octubre de 2007, premio que comparte con el Grupo Intergubernamental de Expertos sobre el Cambio Climático (IPCC, por sus siglas en inglés) de Naciones Unidas.
Al Gore ya había ganado en 2007 el Premio Príncipe de Asturias de Cooperación Internacional, así como el Oscar en 2006 a Mejor Documental y Mejor Canción Original para “I Need to Wake Up”.
El especialista danés y ex miembro de organizaciones ecologistas Bjorn Lomborg hizo en Project Syndicate una feroz crítica al film.
La base de la argumentación de Al Gore es que el calentamiento global es real y producido por la actividad del hombre durante muchos años. Esta argumentación está sostenida por investigaciones actuales.
Al Gore expone información específica que afirma la tesis de su documental, por ejemplo:
• Se muestra el retroceso de numerosos glaciares mediante fotografías tomadas a lo largo de varios de estos últimos años (ver Retroceso de los glaciares desde 1850)
• Un estudio de investigadores del Instituto de Física de la Universidad de Berna y el EPICA que muestra datos del núcleo del hielo de la Antártida que muestra concentraciones de dióxido de carbono más altos en la actualidad que durante los pasados 650.000 años.
La Associated Press contactó con más de 100 prestigiosos climatólogos y les preguntó sobre la veracidad del documental. Debido a que aún no había sido publicado ampliamente, muchos de estos investigadores no habían visto el documental ni habían leído el libro, pero los 19 científicos que sí lo habían hecho dijeron que Al Gore había interpretado correctamente las ideas científicas.
